Divisional Commissioner reviews compassionate appointments, SVAMITA, AgriStack implementation

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 1: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg today reviewed the progress of compassionate appointment cases, pending SVAMITA matters under MAPS 1.0, implementation of AgriStack and the locking of Jamabandies across the Kashmir Division, directing Deputy Commissioners to complete all pending tasks within the stipulated timelines.
Chairing a meeting of Deputy Commissioners, the Divisional Commissioner conducted a district-wise review of progress under each initiative and stressed the importance of timely execution through close monitoring and coordinated efforts.
He instructed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that all prescribed targets are achieved within the fixed timelines and called for regular monitoring of the implementation process.
Reviewing the status of compassionate appointment cases, Garg directed the Deputy Commissioners to expedite the disposal of all pending cases in accordance with the established norms and procedures.
The Divisional Commissioner also asked the Deputy Commissioners to submit details of encroachments on public land and public spaces by religious structures within the next two days to facilitate further action.
Expressing concern over the spread of misinformation and fake news on social media platforms, Garg directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure strict adherence to the advisories issued by the Information Department. He also instructed them to take punitive action in cases of non-compliance by media channels and social media users.
The meeting reviewed the implementation status of key governance initiatives aimed at improving public service delivery, land records management and digital governance across the Kashmir Division.
