DIPR celebrates 80th Independence Day at Srinagar

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 15: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at the DIPR Media Complex in Srinagar on Friday.

The celebrations were led by Director Information Shreya Singhal, who hoisted the National Flag at the complex in the presence of officers and officials of the Directorate.

On the occasion, Singhal extended warm Independence Day greetings to all officers and officials of DIPR and highlighted the significance of the day.

Recalling the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who contributed to India’s struggle for independence, she emphasised the enduring values of unity, democracy, integrity and national service that continue to guide the country.

She urged the officers and officials to uphold these values in the discharge of their professional responsibilities and continue contributing towards effective public communication and service.

Joint Director Information (Headquarters) Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Deputy Director Information (PR/AV) Javid Ahmad Rather and other officers and officials of DIPR were present on the occasion.

The celebration concluded with a reaffirmation of the Directorate’s commitment to public service and responsible dissemination of information while upholding the democratic and constitutional values associated with the nation.
