Capacity building training on PMMVY, POSHAN held for Anganwadi workers, supervisors

SAMBA, AUGUST 24: The Capacity Building Training Programme was conducted under the supervision of Rajesh Lakhan, District Programme Officer, Poshan Projects, Samba, with the objective of strengthening the knowledge, functional capacity and digital skills of field functionaries for the effective implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) and POSHAN initiatives.
A dedicated team from the Mission Directorate, Poshan, J&K, led by Dr. Malvika Sharma, Deputy Director and State Coordinator, PMMVY, J&K, conducted the training and provided detailed guidance to the participants. The team also included Idrees Wani, Supervisor, and Abhay Pal Bhatti, MTS.
More than 300 Anganwadi Workers and Supervisors participated in the training programme. The participants were sensitized and trained on various aspects of PMMVY and POSHAN, including scheme provisions, beneficiary registration, verification procedures, digital processes, portal-related activities, documentation and effective implementation at the grassroots level.
The interactive sessions provided an opportunity for the field functionaries to clarify their queries and gain practical knowledge regarding the implementation of the schemes. Special emphasis was laid on improving the quality and efficiency of services being delivered to beneficiaries through the Anganwadi system.
The programme concluded with a commitment from the participating AWWs and Supervisors to ensure the effective implementation of PMMVY and POSHAN and the timely delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
