J&K Government approves ₹18.96 crore water supply scheme for Pulwama

SRINAGAR, AUGUST: The Omar Abdullah-led Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved an ₹18.96 crore Water Supply Scheme for Pulwama town to strengthen drinking water infrastructure and ensure a reliable supply of safe drinking water to residents.

The project aims to augment and modernise the existing water-supply network to meet the growing demand for potable water while improving the efficiency, sustainability and reliability of water services in the town.

According to the government, the scheme reflects its continued commitment to upgrading essential civic infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life by ensuring better access to basic public services.

Once completed, the project will significantly strengthen the drinking water distribution network in Pulwama, improving water availability and service delivery for households across the town.

The government said the initiative forms part of its broader efforts to improve public infrastructure and provide efficient basic amenities to people across Jammu and Kashmir.
