DDC Doda reviews Mission YUVA implementation

DODA, AUGUST 6: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Krishan Lal on Thursday reviewed the implementation of Mission YUVA in the district and directed the concerned departments to strengthen awareness campaigns, expedite verification of applications and enhance credit linkages to ensure effective execution of the flagship initiative.

The review meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex and was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Director District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC), Cluster Head J&K Bank, District Programme Manager NRLM, officials of the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU), Block Heads, YUVA Doots and other concerned officers. The Lead Bank Manager and J&K Bank branch heads participated through virtual mode.

At the outset, the Assistant Director, DE&CC, gave a detailed presentation on the district’s performance under Mission YUVA.

The DDC reviewed the block-wise status of applications received under the mission and assessed cases pending at the Business Helping Desk (BHD), Small Business Development Unit (SBDU), District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) and bank branches.

The meeting also reviewed progress under the Lakhpati Didi initiative, including awareness drives, application conversion, verification, scrutiny, DLIC approvals, bank sanctions, loan disbursements, interest subvention, disposal and re-application of rejected cases, capacity building through training and mentorship, completion reports, market access through online platforms and the status of Zero Product registration.

Krishan Lal also assessed the performance of YUVA Doots based on panchayat-wise applications, reviewed the district’s progress in enrolling Lakhpati Didis under Udhyam Jagriti 5.0 for 2026-27 and examined the monthly targets assigned to different blocks.

A detailed roadmap for accelerated implementation of Mission YUVA was also presented, outlining time-bound targets for field mobilisation, credit linkage, application processing, bank sanctions, verification of pending cases and onboarding of sellers on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
