J&K fencing association felicitates Vishal Thapar on selection for Asian Games

JAMMU, AUGUST 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Fencing Association (JKFA), affiliated with the Fencing Association of India, felicitated ace fencer Vishal Thapar and extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to him and Shreya Gupta on their selection to represent India at the upcoming Asian Games, scheduled to be held next month in Japan.
Vishal Thapar recently visited the Fencing Hall at M.A. Stadium, Jammu, while Shreya Gupta is presently undergoing intensive training in Ahmedabad as part of her preparations for the prestigious international event.
Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul congratulated both the fencers on their remarkable achievements and assured them of all possible support from the J&K Sports Council.
The JKFA, committed to promoting and supporting its fencers, expressed immense pride in the achievements of both athletes, stating that their selection was a testament to their hard work, dedication, perseverance and commitment to the sport of fencing.
Their selection to represent the country at the Asian Games is a matter of great honour for the fencing fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir and serves as an inspiration for young and aspiring fencers across the Union Territory.
On the occasion, JKFA President Vijay Kumar and Secretary General, JKFA, Adv. Supriya Chouhan, along with the entire fencing fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir, conveyed their warmest wishes to both fencers and expressed confidence that they would perform exceptionally well at the Asian Games and bring laurels to the nation.
The JKFA wished Vishal Thapar and Shreya Gupta the very best for the Asian Games and expressed hope that both athletes would return with glory and medals for India.
