DFCS&CA Jammu begins advance distribution of three-month ration

JAMMU, AUGUST 4: The Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (DFCS&CA), Jammu, has started the advance distribution of food grains for three months under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), Non-Priority Household (NPHH) and Prime Minister Food Supplementation Scheme (PMFSS) across the Jammu Division.
According to the Directorate, eligible beneficiaries can collect their ration for the months of August, September and October 2026 from their respective Fair Price Shops (FPSs) and Government Sale Depots (GSDs).
The department has advised beneficiaries to collect their entitled quota after e-PoS authentication and ensure that they receive the full quantity of food grains along with a transaction receipt from the dealer.
Beneficiaries have been urged to collect their ration well before the closing date of August 31, 2026, to avoid any inconvenience.
The Directorate further stated that in case of short supply, overcharging, denial of ration, non-issuance of receipts or any other grievance, beneficiaries may contact the toll-free helpline at 1800-180-7106 or 0191-2458455, WhatsApp grievance numbers 9419276384 and 9906197359, or approach the concerned Assistant Director or Tehsil Supply Officer.
The Directorate appealed to all eligible beneficiaries to cooperate in ensuring the smooth and timely completion of the special advance ration distribution drive.
